humility and obedience

2 things I wish to ask for today in my life, in my business life, in my professional life and in my personal life. Family, friends, associates, companies. Companionships. To be humble and obedient to God's will. To be humble to earn money for a living. To be humble to ask for money. To be humble to do ones work and toil for the day and share with others your self and God. Peace to all. God bless us all.

To face life

We are here in this world for a reason. There is a purpose to our living. And we are here to do our obligations. And we are here to learn. God prepares for us the way to go to. We are here to live meaningful lives. Hope everybody catches up with God's challenge before us. It is like a game. Where God gives the first ball. Then we have to play the ball and play it with God. God likes us to learn and walk with Him. So we are able to face challenges in our lives. Hope and pray that everyone is under God's care today and always. Love lots. To the rest of the world. Peace and kudos.

God has blessed me so much

God has indeed blessed me so much. I know I have a life. Apart from so called work in this world. God has separated me from the rest of the world who need to go on business just to have work, just to earn money. For me, working or doing activities just for the sake of earning money is not a very viable or interesting thing for me to do. God loves me in so many ways, that I felt He wanted me to share stories about love, peace and joy to other people so that He will be know by others and how good He is to other people. God loves His children so much that He died for our sins. Now, we enjoy the benefits of being saved by God. Let us not add to his weary. Let us love God in return for all the blessings that He gives to us.

I felt that if I am gonna make money, I might as well love what I am doing or doing what I love. I could not leave writing anymore as I have discovered how healthy it is to really engage in your passions. If you are born to do it, then do it. You should not substitute something for what you truly feel your passion is for the sake of money, you will never succeed by that. You should do what your heart tells you to do for it rewards you in so many ways immeasurable. You get good health, you don't have high blood pressure, you don't do the things you are not willing to do. You sleep good at night. You eat your favorite foods without having to feel overindulging or wasteful. You are just about right in the eyes of God. And He is pleased with you.

When he makes you sick, that means He wanted you to do something. Choose something that doesn't hurt you. Choose something that freely flows out from you. Choose something that you could live with. It is hard enough to establish that which you would consider as your purpose in life. I think I have found my purpose in life. And it took me this long to finally know it. But the more I try each day. The more I realize how right my life is, even without work. Work should not be a means to earn money. Work should be a means to be purposeful, to do your passions, to help out the world, how do you present yourself before the world. If you needed to be an actor, so be an actor, if you needed to be a writer, so be a writer. If you needed some money, do something you are willing to do for money. But don't make the mistake of making money as you sole target for living, for doing work. You will become a slave to it and i think God doesn't want you to do that. Man cannot serve both money and God. You have to choose.

Money is necessary, but there are things more important than money. The love that you feel for others, the smile on the child's face, the innocence of the child. The flowers in the garden. The refreshing feeling of water. The sunshine in the early morning. The cool breeze of the early morning. Do not busy yourselves just because of money. Busy yourselves with the important things in life. When God gives you a chance, do not over do it. Do it as God presents it to you and toy around it a little bit to your liking and start doing it. Do not be overwhelmed by work for you can get tired easily. Make sure that you are doing what you do for the right reasons and don't forget that family and friends come first.

Been out

Been out to Makati today. Went to a training on how to sell on ebay at the Aim Conference Center, food was served, very informative and engaging and very much inviting to go on selling at ebay. We were encouraged to sell on ebay the day after.

After this, went to Glorietta 5 for the Sales Recruitment Event of Ayala Land. Wanted to work for the company for a very long time coz I used to work with them during the early parts of my career. Now, I am coming back. A chance to come back into to company and a chance to focus and build a career in the industry. I hope I am chosen for this. With divine providence and destiny.

I chose this because it is one of the career paths of being a Registered Financial Planner and as early as now I would like to carve a niche in the practice of being an RFP. I pray that God would use me in the new given task. I earned this chance to take up RFP by writing a grant proposal and I was granted. I am now given the chance. And I would do my best with the help of God to use my skills to prosper and develop what I would be learning from the 2 months or 8 Saturdays scheduled for the RFP seminars this 2011.

I have been writing a book about God, money and success. And hope this is the continuation of what I started early one since last year December since I gave away books of an RFP to my family for financial literacy. I believed that the country needs very much the education it needed about finance, how to handle money, how to make more of it, and how to be rich with the right mindset and not just to be rich for the sake of getting rich but for the purpose of also helping out their families and friends.

The Value of Money and Money as a Value

I think I am coming down with coughs. I was constantly thinking about money and how to make it. I have lots of plans in my mind. I think most of which I cannot accomplish all at the same time. And now, when I am sick, I feel that health is really wealth. Sometimes, you try to be busy and want to accomplish so much, and what in exchange for money. But then are you really aligned to what God wants you to accomplish in this life. Sometimes, when I think about it it is more about the sacrifices that we do for God and not solely what we wanted just for ourselves. Those could be just selfish acts. But when we sacrifice, we do it for God, we do it for others. Like for example. Joining a big company. But then in the process you lose your heart, you lose what you initially set out to do like maybe delivering talks or time to write those book ideas. Those book ideas are really divinely provided to you and not just a product of your idle imagination. God could be saying use these talents so that you can prosper and you can glorify Me.

What are you thinking? Each morning, what is it that you wanted to do. Is it solely just making money, or is it doing your passions. I am in the stage of my life where I am about to start something big. A big step towards progress and development. But I believe God has prepared me for this time in my life. Emotionally, psychologically, socially, religiously, relationally, God has prepared me all this time for this chance in my life. To reach out to others, to be with others, to help and serve others, to connect with others, to be friends with others. To be proud of who you are irregardless of seeming mistakes or miscalculations in your life. We must accept who we are because we are all different, and the experience that we have is what we carry with us, what we contribute in the forum. This is our offering to the Lord. Our lives. Our marvelous lives. Although it may be imperfect. Although it is still a work in progress. Although it seems we haven't accomplished something sufficient.

I am passionate about studying. And all this time, unemployed am I, I devoted my time to study, study of business books, business tv shows, business newspapers, business seminars. I learned all that I could thru what I can afford. And God has given me the greatest and most expensive education. Because He is my Teacher. He personally teaches me about business. He is my Professor, my Coach, my Mentor. What could be greater than that? And all I have to do is just to follow His will. That is my tuition.

And it's been exhilirating. First-hand knowledge from God. Whew! It's like Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Oxford, London Business School put together. Great! And I am still a student. Thank God. For He continues to improve me day by day. Thanks God. And my classmates, my customers, my fellow businessmen, the writers of the mags and books that I read, the suppliers, the creditors or banks, my fellow sales staff and more. God has been so great!

And so what really matters. Is you accomplish your tasks and not lose your values in the process. Being at home most of the time, means you want a home-based business more than travelling 4 hours everyday, such a waste of time.

So next time, when you think of what you want to do for the Lord, think about your heart, think about your values. God is speaking to you through these silent messages. What matters most to your heart.

For me, working at home means I could visit the garden whenever I wanted to just to pause for a break from my desk work and just flatter myself by this gift of flowers, aesthetics that Mama Mary gives to me or Jesus. God loves that much. How about you, how does God love you?

Does God love you by giving you money to afford that education program you chose for yourself? Does God love you by giving you food whenever you go hungry? Does God love you by buying you fashionable clothes or shirts for you to wear and look good in? Does God love you by making you engage in your hobbies and enthusiasm?

How does God love you? Once you notice that love from God, you will rejoice for you will realize how much He loves you in the biggest or smallest way, may it be expensive or just cheap in money value, it doesn't matter because all of these are God's gifts to His children. And what matters is that God communicates and expresses His love for us through these gifts that come from Him.

And in return, we accept these gifts and we rejoice in its goodness!

Happy loving to everyone and let us return God's love by being loving and grateful for all that He gives to us.

Amen.

Job Fairs and other plans

I went to Glorietta today for the Manila Bulletin Job Fair. Lots of companies. Tomorrow, I will be going to a call center in Alabang. Actually, if I can go to two call centers, then that's even better. On Friday, I will go to G5 in Makati for Ayala Land interviews and probably drop by Anchor Land Holdings in Trafalgar Plaza. I want to concentrate somehow in a career in real estate.

This April and May, I will go to the RFP seminars at Oakwood Premier at ADB Ave. in Ortigas. It's gonna be for 8 Saturdays. After which, I will be working to get my RFP certification. Wish me luck.

As of now, I don't know if it's gonna push through, I am thinking of becoming an active member of Picpa, the association of Philippines Certified Public Accountants. I want to attend also a Risk Management seminar which is P1500 for a member on the 11th of April.

I plan to attend seminars of day8.org. There's gonna be an Aspiring Entrepreneurs Roundtable, How to Defeat Goliath of the industry, Internet Marketing and Network Marketing. Some have fees, while the others come for free if you purchase a book by Josiah Go.

Have to go on writing, have to go on writing talks, for God and life and money. Have to work on my internet marketing activities to earn something from it. On Saturday, there will be an ebay.ph selling seminar. Hope I could earn something from this business activity.

I hope I could learn to finish a book in one week. Plus, I have to write ebooks as well. And hope to get them published. But the moolahs also have to come in simultaneously.

This year, or in the very near future, I am planning to take up some online courses about life coaching. Cool!

Finance education

I went to the Wealth Summit 2011 @ the Megatrade conference rooms. On March 26, 2011 I will be attending Chinkee Tan's The Awakened Millionaire Seminar. On April and May 2011, I plan to attend the RFP program. This should help a lot in financial education and to promote financial education as well to others.

I hope to be successful in it. With God's help and teaching. After all, it is God who is ultimately teaching me about financial education. I should just learn how to apply it in my real life, personal life. I should just begin using my financial education for myself.

Tomorrow, Josiah Go will have a talk on Strategic Innovation. It's gonna be a marketing seminar with my Fundamentals of Marketing book by Josiah and Chiqui Go. Great book!

Surfing thru the Net

Just keep on surfing. I looked into the site of Repertory Phils. and found out about their summer workshops this 2011. It costs P7000 each. There is a Master class for professionals and there is also a basic acting workshop for starters adult class. I was looking thru google and typed actors auditions in the Philippines and the Rep site came out. Cool!

I was thinking of going to class in construction. I am very interested in the real estate markets and wanted to start building up my knowledge in the real estate industry. I planned to start as an agent. As a matter of fact, I am one right now but I only market thru my facebook so it is not really a full pledged job as of now. Hope i could earn something from the real estate field and build on a career here. Lots of things to learn about it and schools to go to. I used to connect with the Urban Institute of Real Estate and they have seminars there about how to Invest in the real estate sector. They have a website just google their name. Knowledge plus academy also holds classes about construction and project management. Very eager to take those courses. And of course there are schools for interior design here in the Phils. like the PSID or Philippine School of Interior Design, there's also an interior design course at DLSU-CSB. Architecture and Drafting courses are also available at different schools and universities.

I browsed through CIM Techonologies' website and found out that they were offering AutoCAD classes as well.

The one-minute Sales Person

I've found this great book in Book Sale, the One-Minute Sales Person. I think it's gonna help me a lot. I just wish it's still on the book shelf when I come back for it. Actually, I kept it somewhere where I found it, so it's not sooo obvious. So no one can see it. Sshhh..don't tell anyone!!! :)

Young Bucks by Troy Dunn and Better than Good by Zig Ziglar

Simultaneously reading, Young Bucks by Troy Dunn and Better than Good by Zig Ziglar. I discovered how Zig Ziglar is a great motivational speaker and writer. He's just gonna teach you to go for your goals no matter what your station in life is. And it's never too late to discover and follow what's deep in your heart. Love.

Zig Ziglar on Selling and Brian Tracy on Speaking

It's hard to gulp all these books all at the same time. Still reading Zig Ziglar's Better than Good. I bought it at the MIBF last year. Whatta bargain! I like Zig Ziglar so much. I would like to buy his book on selling.

I am currently craving for Brian Tracy's Book Speak to Win. I guess I would have settle for his pdf version even though there are blank pages. I have learned so much about speaking in a few minutes by reading a few pages of the book than I thought I already knew just by imagination. It is really a good book!

I like Carl Balita's ne book

I like Carl Balita's new book. It's a best seller at the NBS. Along with Francis Kong's new book. They're both neon green by the way. I scanned through the pages of Carl's book. And got some brilliant ideas. I learned about the owner of Boardwalk and now am encouraged to be a member just to gain experience in a networking co. and get a share in the business system propagated by its owner.


Socorro Ramos, the owner of NBS, in the book, said you must do what you love or if you're doing it might as well love it. What's the use of doing it if you don't love it. It's very important that you love your work. For me, life is too s...hort to do something that you don't really love. Or at least not appreciate it for what it can give to your family or yourself. There's gotta be a way around things. We are given by God talents. What's the use for those talents if not doing what you love to do. It may be difficult but it is sure worth pursuing!

Blessings may come left and right. But it is up to us to take them. Me, I am partially guilty of rejecting offers. And for this, I pray to God coz I am sorry. When I see very poor people on the streets, having only a peso to give to their children they ask for money and the kids are so dirty, and the mother while selling some candies or wares on the streets breastfeeds a newly born, what do you expect. You that are given something for your food and needs, will you not take it? While others beg for something?

I don't know how hard or easy it is for others, if you have rich friends they can loan out to you big sums of money and you'll be fine. But the others. I don't know why for others it is so hard. It could be very difficult. If there was just trust enough, then no person can go hungry.

I'm just so happy because even though my work doesn't pay, I know it matters. I am content in my heart that God is content with what I am doing. It's just me who wants paid work as a human being. There's so much race of success in this world that it only becomes a competition.

Competition for what? In the bottomline, what matters is if you are happy. A lot of people race for cars and money and all that. With just simplicity you can have everything, you do have everything. :)

Search for Life is a Cup of Coffee in the internet. It is a video how life is like a cup of coffee. And what makes it so complicated is the goals that we have for success like having the best cars, having the best homes, the best education, the best in everything. We wanted the best cups for our coffee. But no matter what the cup is the most important thing is the coffee. Life is the coffee. It is not altered by the cup we drink it with. It's a very good video and has a valuable lesson.

Filipino families train their young to study hard and get a job after graduation. I think that shouldn't hold true anymore right now. The world is changing. I've got a life changing experience that makes me value business more than employment.

I even am amazed at myself when I think that I am going to write a book. When there's an opportunity to stand out, we are sometimes in a faze and couldn't believe that we can achieve it. It's about time that we Filipinos have a high regard for ourselves. Follow your dreams! Your Bliss!

There are also stories where college dropouts do better than college graduates. What can we say about that? It's time to change our thinking. Some are not schooled in business and yet they are very good in it. They just did their homework, studying it on the job, or in books or through mentors or seminars. And they're off. If we could just help one another, it would be a smooth ride.

The financial plannning seminar that I attended yesterday was very fruitful. As usual, when I go to Makati, the New York of the Philippines, I sacrifice. I walked from Glorietta to Esteban St. near De la Rosa. Very far away. Whew! He he. Well I guess, it was worth all the sacrifice. I had my dinner at 3pm at Jollibee with the new sweet and sour meatballs. And then, went in to the office with just a bottle of water. After the seminar which ended at aroundd 930 pm, I ate at a seven-eleven store nearby just across the street and ate a hotdog sandwich. You know everything that I brought with me in my wallet was just very enough to lead me to the places I went to yesterday and brought me home. I bought Buy and Sell and Job Finder magazines and promised that I would make my investment for those two mags which I bought yesterday well worth it. As a result, I thought of advertising on the two and hoped that I will attend some events published on the Buy and Sell mag. Either way, I wouldn't have wasted the money that I bought for it. Don't you think it is just way too cool.

I would keep on blogging and writing and earn hopefully thru my advertisements and affiliate marketing on the web and hope to reach somehow P200000 for blogging. hehehe. I heard there are people who really earn from blogging and I hope that I would be one of them. I will construct my website so that it will contain about 4-5 affiliate marketing cos. or websites and hope people are just gonna click on it.

We must practice Strategic Thinking in our everyday problems. We need to create solutions to our everyday business problems. The problems arise because there are people to serve. If we surmount those problems, then we would have served our customers better.

People flock to where they would be showered with blessings. A person needs to meet his daily needs such as food, medicines, clothing and shelter. A person goes to work in an office or his office maybe the marketplace. In all sense, be there at the marketplace and be in business. Business for the whole world. It is an exchange of ware. What is your ware? What have you got to offer to the world? Market it intelligently, creatively, unceasingly. So people would Buy.

The world is changing and so we must change in that world. We gotta keep on educating ourselves to serve others better. The knowledge that we had before just keeps adding up. Facebook and other social media wasn't there before so as computers and mass media. Call centers alike. We are in a constant state of progress and development. Take advantage of that!

Looking through the bookshelves at Powerbooks, you can find books there which are great. Great and new concepts. Guerilla marketing. Blue Ocean, NLP, e-Myth and the likes. People come up with ideas. And they are very useful in today's thinking. Grab that chance to develop in this new world. Share that knowledge. Keep that knowledge. Serve with that knowledge. Learn and teach, so that the greater number of men, women and children will benefit. And then, we would have a greater economy.

Business Tips for the Young At Heart

Go into business. This is a famous adage. Don't just be employees. I know. God is prompting me to become an entrepreneur, a businessperson because all this time employment options are not readily available for me when my tummy would feel hunger and I need to feed myself. Or that I would go thirsty every hour and need to drink some juice or carbonated water for my own sake.

Go into business. It may probably be as easy as selling. The challenge is are you willing to take the challenge. As I am probably famous for it by now for saying it. Use your talents. What is it that you have that you can offer up to the Lord and say hey this is my talent and I want to do this for others, to serve others, to serve God. We are gifted when we were born into this world. We were born rich as Bob Proctor would say. But I personally believe so also. If you have a gift, celebrate yourself and make a brand name for yourself like what I am currently doing and hope to be successful in it and just be who you are and who you ought to be. Going into business is the most practical thing you can ever do because it is your own, it is your own ownership. It is yours. It is like a gift of God to you which has your name on it, wrapped in a beautiful wrapper and personally delivered by God to you. This is your business. The challenge is to make it grow. God never gave a whole bunch of riches ready for you for the taking. He wants you to grow what He has given to you. He's got given to you your talents for you to use to your heart's desires in what so ever ways, just be creative and there you have your accomplishments. It's not like just counting 1,2,3 or saying A,B,C but it's non-linear, it could be complex. So, go ahead and start your business. Go ahead start that venture.

I went to the Wealth Summit on Jan 29 and couldn't quite forget this one fact that I learned from there. You gotta dip your hands. Dipping your hands into actual dirty work so that you will have success in the business or work you have chosen. Do not worry that you'll get your hands dirty. Just dip it! Never ever let anyone stop you. Coz it's yours. Y.O.U.R.S.

Enjoy the work, Enjoy the dipping of your hands. And Network too. Networking could be a very interesting game. You meet a lot of people. Introduce yourself. What you do. What you like to do. Your plans. Business plans. Dreams. And see if you have any business propositions or partnerships arising from your networking activities. The major goal is to work with, to interact, to foster friendships, to create, to build, to master, to use God's gifts to you in every possible way. Just do it! Remember, Just Do It!

Having Money or No Money is the big challenge. What stops you from realizing your dreams? What stops you from gaining your ground in this world? What stops you from doing what you wanna do right now? Work for it! Don't stop dreaming. Don't settle. Don't compromise. Me, I compromised a lot in the past. Until the time came when, I feel so frustrated. Of course, I'm a happy go lucky kinda gal so it's just fine. I learn my education on the streets, call it Street Life. But of course, it hits you sometimes. Hey, God is nudging you do this. He calls on softly to your heart be a movie star or a film director or movie writer. Study this so that you will learn and I will promote you and lift you up into the Success that I wanted for you. All we have to do is say YES to HIM.

God is a loving Father. He will never, ever abandon us. God loves us so much as to leave us empty handed on the streets. We just need to embrace ourselves and say to ourselves hey I'm not gonna let this happen to me. I can fight my battles and in the end win the war. According to the Art of War, the battle is won before it is even fought. So hold on, you are in the middle of the battleground, for those generals or high ranking officials out there or the ordinary soldiers wishing good for them in this game of life, you have your choice, to fight or to surrender. Sometimes, surrendering is the wise choice, especially if you are already tired of the battle and you seem you cannot go on. So you surrender. Surrender to God's Love. And let Him take care of you. It really works. As in really works.

I have this favorite saying which I got from my China Business mag, Vision is not enough, it must be combined with venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps, we must step up the stairs by Vaclav Havel, the first president of the Czech Republic. Nice note, isn't it?

Frankly, I am also guilty of this. Sometimes, I keep on planning. And years pass without any result or action from me due to lack of money. Well, I am not gonna do that anymore and start right now, this year to start something on my own, to be active as I was before when I was a kid and winning awards left and right at school or when I was a kid joining radio contests winning left and right. Who knows I might win again. There is nothing like winning. And so, Goodluck to all the people out there, my fellow guerillas. Let us be victorious soldiers of Christ. In the battle game of life, let us win the war!

New Year's Promise

Haven't written since last year! I have had some great adventures in the past month meaning January. Like on my first week. I was very eager to work. I promised to be fashionable this year so dressed in my pink Abercrombie and Fitch shirt and pink polo and jeans and slippers I went to the mall at Festival and did some shopping. I bought Magnegosyo magazine where I learned about the Fern-C business and am now very eager to become part of their network. But of course there is a membership fee to pay. But it's a very viable business. I want to be part of that business as much as I want to be part of the Vmobile network too. But of course there's also a membership fee. I really hope to do good in sales this year. A month has already passed and you could see that time is ticking in favor of me supposed to be. Well, shouldn't waste time anymore because time is precious, time is gold.

I also bought myself a CD Jeans dealership which up to now am not selling yet door to door. I am keen about selling thru fieldwork. It isn't just comfortable for me to sell door to door, doing fieldwork, and walking on the streets with limited money and you have to pay for you water and food coz you're gonna go hungry while you walk the streets and before you know your P200 is not enough for that one sales outing. Just couldn't solve the puzzle. At least not yet.:)

I also bought a Feng Shui magazine the local and red one where there was a picture of a bunny. I like to read my horoscope and learn something about feng shui. I like feng shui and actually looking for a feng shui training school or something in this part of the world to become a feng shui consultant in the future. But I guess, I haven't found any so needless to say I should just look for schools which are readily available for me at an affordable price with a diploma or certificate to show as my accomplishment in life. Or why not just buy those books, pick out the ideas in the books and learn so much from them and use those knowledge in my dealings in life. What a way to start the day, right?

As of this writing, moolahs still need to come in. If you have any ideas just to add to my sometimes boring mind because I seem to have all those sorts of ideas about business but it isn't fun enough because I still don't have a company to start. It's much fun if you do it with others. Hope you comment. Thanks. And networking is the key.
