Been out

Been out to Makati today. Went to a training on how to sell on ebay at the Aim Conference Center, food was served, very informative and engaging and very much inviting to go on selling at ebay. We were encouraged to sell on ebay the day after.

After this, went to Glorietta 5 for the Sales Recruitment Event of Ayala Land. Wanted to work for the company for a very long time coz I used to work with them during the early parts of my career. Now, I am coming back. A chance to come back into to company and a chance to focus and build a career in the industry. I hope I am chosen for this. With divine providence and destiny.

I chose this because it is one of the career paths of being a Registered Financial Planner and as early as now I would like to carve a niche in the practice of being an RFP. I pray that God would use me in the new given task. I earned this chance to take up RFP by writing a grant proposal and I was granted. I am now given the chance. And I would do my best with the help of God to use my skills to prosper and develop what I would be learning from the 2 months or 8 Saturdays scheduled for the RFP seminars this 2011.

I have been writing a book about God, money and success. And hope this is the continuation of what I started early one since last year December since I gave away books of an RFP to my family for financial literacy. I believed that the country needs very much the education it needed about finance, how to handle money, how to make more of it, and how to be rich with the right mindset and not just to be rich for the sake of getting rich but for the purpose of also helping out their families and friends.

The Value of Money and Money as a Value

I think I am coming down with coughs. I was constantly thinking about money and how to make it. I have lots of plans in my mind. I think most of which I cannot accomplish all at the same time. And now, when I am sick, I feel that health is really wealth. Sometimes, you try to be busy and want to accomplish so much, and what in exchange for money. But then are you really aligned to what God wants you to accomplish in this life. Sometimes, when I think about it it is more about the sacrifices that we do for God and not solely what we wanted just for ourselves. Those could be just selfish acts. But when we sacrifice, we do it for God, we do it for others. Like for example. Joining a big company. But then in the process you lose your heart, you lose what you initially set out to do like maybe delivering talks or time to write those book ideas. Those book ideas are really divinely provided to you and not just a product of your idle imagination. God could be saying use these talents so that you can prosper and you can glorify Me.

What are you thinking? Each morning, what is it that you wanted to do. Is it solely just making money, or is it doing your passions. I am in the stage of my life where I am about to start something big. A big step towards progress and development. But I believe God has prepared me for this time in my life. Emotionally, psychologically, socially, religiously, relationally, God has prepared me all this time for this chance in my life. To reach out to others, to be with others, to help and serve others, to connect with others, to be friends with others. To be proud of who you are irregardless of seeming mistakes or miscalculations in your life. We must accept who we are because we are all different, and the experience that we have is what we carry with us, what we contribute in the forum. This is our offering to the Lord. Our lives. Our marvelous lives. Although it may be imperfect. Although it is still a work in progress. Although it seems we haven't accomplished something sufficient.

I am passionate about studying. And all this time, unemployed am I, I devoted my time to study, study of business books, business tv shows, business newspapers, business seminars. I learned all that I could thru what I can afford. And God has given me the greatest and most expensive education. Because He is my Teacher. He personally teaches me about business. He is my Professor, my Coach, my Mentor. What could be greater than that? And all I have to do is just to follow His will. That is my tuition.

And it's been exhilirating. First-hand knowledge from God. Whew! It's like Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Oxford, London Business School put together. Great! And I am still a student. Thank God. For He continues to improve me day by day. Thanks God. And my classmates, my customers, my fellow businessmen, the writers of the mags and books that I read, the suppliers, the creditors or banks, my fellow sales staff and more. God has been so great!

And so what really matters. Is you accomplish your tasks and not lose your values in the process. Being at home most of the time, means you want a home-based business more than travelling 4 hours everyday, such a waste of time.

So next time, when you think of what you want to do for the Lord, think about your heart, think about your values. God is speaking to you through these silent messages. What matters most to your heart.

For me, working at home means I could visit the garden whenever I wanted to just to pause for a break from my desk work and just flatter myself by this gift of flowers, aesthetics that Mama Mary gives to me or Jesus. God loves that much. How about you, how does God love you?

Does God love you by giving you money to afford that education program you chose for yourself? Does God love you by giving you food whenever you go hungry? Does God love you by buying you fashionable clothes or shirts for you to wear and look good in? Does God love you by making you engage in your hobbies and enthusiasm?

How does God love you? Once you notice that love from God, you will rejoice for you will realize how much He loves you in the biggest or smallest way, may it be expensive or just cheap in money value, it doesn't matter because all of these are God's gifts to His children. And what matters is that God communicates and expresses His love for us through these gifts that come from Him.

And in return, we accept these gifts and we rejoice in its goodness!

Happy loving to everyone and let us return God's love by being loving and grateful for all that He gives to us.

Job Fairs and other plans

I went to Glorietta today for the Manila Bulletin Job Fair. Lots of companies. Tomorrow, I will be going to a call center in Alabang. Actually, if I can go to two call centers, then that's even better. On Friday, I will go to G5 in Makati for Ayala Land interviews and probably drop by Anchor Land Holdings in Trafalgar Plaza. I want to concentrate somehow in a career in real estate.

This April and May, I will go to the RFP seminars at Oakwood Premier at ADB Ave. in Ortigas. It's gonna be for 8 Saturdays. After which, I will be working to get my RFP certification. Wish me luck.

As of now, I don't know if it's gonna push through, I am thinking of becoming an active member of Picpa, the association of Philippines Certified Public Accountants. I want to attend also a Risk Management seminar which is P1500 for a member on the 11th of April.

I plan to attend seminars of day8.org. There's gonna be an Aspiring Entrepreneurs Roundtable, How to Defeat Goliath of the industry, Internet Marketing and Network Marketing. Some have fees, while the others come for free if you purchase a book by Josiah Go.

Have to go on writing, have to go on writing talks, for God and life and money. Have to work on my internet marketing activities to earn something from it. On Saturday, there will be an ebay.ph selling seminar. Hope I could earn something from this business activity.

I hope I could learn to finish a book in one week. Plus, I have to write ebooks as well. And hope to get them published. But the moolahs also have to come in simultaneously.

This year, or in the very near future, I am planning to take up some online courses about life coaching. Cool!

Finance education

I went to the Wealth Summit 2011 @ the Megatrade conference rooms. On March 26, 2011 I will be attending Chinkee Tan's The Awakened Millionaire Seminar. On April and May 2011, I plan to attend the RFP program. This should help a lot in financial education and to promote financial education as well to others.

I hope to be successful in it. With God's help and teaching. After all, it is God who is ultimately teaching me about financial education. I should just learn how to apply it in my real life, personal life. I should just begin using my financial education for myself.

Tomorrow, Josiah Go will have a talk on Strategic Innovation. It's gonna be a marketing seminar with my Fundamentals of Marketing book by Josiah and Chiqui Go. Great book!

Surfing thru the Net

Just keep on surfing. I looked into the site of Repertory Phils. and found out about their summer workshops this 2011. It costs P7000 each. There is a Master class for professionals and there is also a basic acting workshop for starters adult class. I was looking thru google and typed actors auditions in the Philippines and the Rep site came out. Cool!

I was thinking of going to class in construction. I am very interested in the real estate markets and wanted to start building up my knowledge in the real estate industry. I planned to start as an agent. As a matter of fact, I am one right now but I only market thru my facebook so it is not really a full pledged job as of now. Hope i could earn something from the real estate field and build on a career here. Lots of things to learn about it and schools to go to. I used to connect with the Urban Institute of Real Estate and they have seminars there about how to Invest in the real estate sector. They have a website just google their name. Knowledge plus academy also holds classes about construction and project management. Very eager to take those courses. And of course there are schools for interior design here in the Phils. like the PSID or Philippine School of Interior Design, there's also an interior design course at DLSU-CSB. Architecture and Drafting courses are also available at different schools and universities.

I browsed through CIM Techonologies' website and found out that they were offering AutoCAD classes as well.

The one-minute Sales Person

I've found this great book in Book Sale, the One-Minute Sales Person. I think it's gonna help me a lot. I just wish it's still on the book shelf when I come back for it. Actually, I kept it somewhere where I found it, so it's not sooo obvious. So no one can see it. Sshhh..don't tell anyone!!! :)
